Get sustained success by investing in preparations.

Below is a comprehensive breakdown of the 4 modules provided.

Module 1
The Problem

Initial Assessment and Problem Identification A3 SPS (Inside-Out Analysis)

Step 1: Define the Problem: We begin with a deep into current challenges, including operational inefficiencies, risk management gaps, and opportunities for enhancing social value. We use the A3 SPS framework to clearly define the problem statement, incorporating social procurement as a key area of focus.

Step 2: Analyse Current State: Conduct a thorough analysis of the current state, identifying bottlenecks, risks, and performance metrics, with an added emphasis on social procurement practices. Assess interpersonal dynamics and leadership effectiveness, helping to uncover "blind spots" and areas where better communication or self-awareness could drive improvements.

Step 3: Root Cause Analysis: Utilise root cause analysis tools to identify underlying causes of the problems, including potential gaps in social procurement practices. Consider how interpersonal dynamics might contribute to these challenges.

Step 4: Propose Countermeasures: Develop targeted solutions or countermeasures to address the identified root causes. Ensure that these solutions include enhancements to social procurement practices, such as prioritizing local suppliers or promoting diversity in the supply chain.

Module 2
The Analysis

External Analysis and Strategic Alignment (Outside-In Analysis)

Step 1: Market, Policy, and Social Procurement Insights: Complement the inside-out analysis with an outside-in approach that analyzes market trends, regulatory developments, and social procurement opportunities. This helps ensure that the solutions developed are effective internally and aligned with external opportunities, including social value creation.

Step 2: Strategic Recommendations: Integrate findings from the market analysis with the improvements identified through the A3 SPS, and social procurement processes into the Solution Development Module (Kata). Provide strategic recommendations that position you to capitalise on market opportunities while advancing your social procurement goals.

Module 3
The Solution

Iterative Solution Development and Implementation (Kata Framework)

Step 1: Set Target Conditions: Using the 'Improvement Kata' approach, define clear, achievable target conditions for each problem area, including social procurement goals. These targets should align with your strategic goals and CSR objectives.

Step 2: Experimentation and Learning: Implement small-scale experiments to test the proposed solutions, including those related to social procurement. The Kata framework’s iterative cycles of Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) ensure continuous assessment and refinement based on real-world feedback, including social impact outcomes.

Step 3: Continuous Improvement: As solutions are tested and refined, use the Coaching Kata to help leaders and teams at Corio internalize the process. This fosters a culture of continuous improvement, including a commitment to enhancing social value through procurement practices.

Module 4
The Roadmap

2x2 Framework for Visualization and Decision-Making

Dimension 1: Internal Readiness (Self-Awareness vs. Blind Spots): Plot your readiness for change along a continuum from high self-awareness to high levels of blind spots, including their current social procurement capabilities.

Dimension 2: External Alignment (Market Opportunities vs. Risks): Assess how well the organisation’s strategies, including social procurement initiatives, align with external market conditions, plotting them from high market opportunity alignment to high exposure to market risks.

This 2x2 framework allows you to visually map where they currently stand, identify areas that need focus, and optimize operations while enhancing social value.

In essence investing in the preparation for sustained success.
